Gene Simmons to Sex Site: Suck My Copyright!

Gene Simmons' legal team has taken an ingenious first step in shutting down a website featuring a video that shows Gene in a sex act with a woman who is not his longtime girlfriend, Shannon Tweed.

We're told Gene's lawyers contacted Webmastercentral.com, which is responsible for the content on the website promoting the video -- ordering them to cease and desist because of copyright infringement. How, you ask, is this copyright infringement? Gene's lawyers claim the site had no right to use face paint to promote the skin flick, because face paint is a KISS thing.

And now we're being told, the tape is old and the copyright owner is ... drum roll ... Gene Simmons! Apparently, Gene got wind of the tape a few years back and bought the rights. Who's the apprentice now?

BTW, the tape was shot without Simmons' permission or knowledge -- and may well be illegal. That's why TMZ hasn't run it.

16. I've seen the tape, For all the bragging Geno has done, claiming to have bedded 4500 women, he sure hasn't learned how to get it on. This tape is laughable. In the tape he attempts to kiss the woman twice and she turns her head both times. I get the feeling she thinks he is pathetic, maybe thats because he is. His skills are weak. Rate it a 1, cause I have never seen a zero.

17. Hmmmm .. the tape is old? How old is old? TMZ, do some investigative reporting. See when this girl was hired at that company that Gene promotes. I saw Shannon and children did not know about this and they are extremely embarrassed and probably very upset.

25. Gene simmons is one of the most disgusting so called men on the face of the earth. Ugly beyond belief and convinced he is a gift to women. Ugh! Why anyone would want to watch a sex tape of him is beyond my wildest imagination. I feel sorry for his 2 kids...as for Shannon Tweed, surely she knows after 20 plus years he is never going to marry her and as far as being faithful? In her dreams?!

30. Simmons branding KISS is hardly any accomplishment. He probably sells KISS condoms. It shows KISS was nothing but an ACT, not real rock and roll. Zero contribution to music, and lots to cartoon figures. He and Kiss might as well have been a Vegas circus act.
