R.I.P.
Carl at God's Big Drive Thru

Carl N. Karcher, founder of the Carl's Jr. hamburger chain, has died. When TMZ went for lunch today, we were given the below obit. "Here's your burger and our boss died. Enjoy your meal!"

Let's hope he springs for more than a $6 casket.

31. My grandmother attended the funeral with other exeployees of his original restuarants. I can remember we used to visit her at work at the very last of the full service carls restuarants here in Anaheim. She continued to work there until disney bought it and bull dozed it for a parking lot a couple of decades ago. My grandmother even has a cariacature of herself and carl made back in the 70's. They had apparently been good friends. I onlyw ish tmz had been a little more respectful of the recently deceased celebrities.

32. How come bigots and bible thumpers are usually exclusive to each other? Both suck and if that Carl's Douchebag of a human was both, I hope he died slowly from a horribly painful death! That is no lie!

34. A True Bastard of the Highest Order.
May the pain he wished of oppressed others be visited on him and those who survived him who never endeavored to dissuade him of his hatred of others.

35. Carl Karcher was a good humble man. He could've lived in a mansion in Newport Beach, CA. Instead,he lived in a nice but humble home in Anaheim, near his company headquarters. He didn't even allow his kids to order at the restaurants without paying. He told them "Nothing is free". He appreciated his success and shared it by giving millions to charity.
He's well-loved here in Orange County, CA. May he rest in peace.

37. Dude sounds like he thinks just like Huckabee thinks! And people are thinking of electing that nazi? It's one thing to be a Fuhrer of a burger joint, but to run a country? Screw them both!

38. I am not judging anyone. God is the only one who can do that. I was simply stating facts of what the Bible says. If you feel the need to defend your opinions and trash not only me but the Bible, then that truely speaks volumes on the guilt you must be feeling.

40. I am an atheist, yet I have never treated people the way Carl Karcher did. He tried to get legislation passed in California that would have prevented gays and lesbians from teaching in schools. So who is the worse person? Me, the atheist who has never intentionally tried hurt another human being or the really religious guy, who tried to deny homosexuals their basic civil rights?

41. I certainly wouldn't want gays teaching my kids. Who knows what agenda they would try to impress on them.

42. Gay agenda??!!? Their only agenda is to live their lives like everyone else. I guarantee you, your children have been taught by gays, who are forced to live deep in the closet to avoid the stupidity and bigotry of idiots.

43. Thank you for buying at Carl's Jr. We appreciate your business and by the way our boss died yesterday.

I guess the TMZ staff didn't have such a happy meal. A piece of paper with his picture posted on the wall would have sufficed as a notice of death. The flyer makes it sound as if his passing is an afterthought.

44. Seems like there is a lot of intolerence going around, eh?

Why is it that my opinion is considered intolerent but yours is not?

Posted at 8:02PM on Jan 19th 2008 by Am I Allowed To Have My Own Opinion?

45. Because your opinion denies other people their civil rights. My opinion does not. Get it? Bigotry = bad.
