K-Fed Retains Custody -- Brit Gets Visitation

Kevin Federline will retain custody of his children and Britney will get monitored visitation -- this after a court hearing lasting nearly three hours.

There's another hearing on October 26.

K-Fed's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan says both sides presented evidence at today's hearing. He told reporters outside that he and Kevin felt the ruling was "justified."

K-Fed showed up in court. Brit wasn't there. We just got a shot of Spears gassing up her SUV at a Shell gas station in the San Fernando Valley.

21. Agree with Amy #11 I NEVER thought he would look "good." He is a no body and those poor kids I would think they would better off with adoptive parents then either one of them at this point in time. I hope Brit can get herself together one day. My prayers are with her.

23. good im GLAD she doesn't have them back. no one in their right mind would give that skank those kids back. he is a better parent than her. he's being responsible at least. you just hate him b/c you "blame" him for being the source of her problems when its not true. she chased him, i read that somewhere and even when people told her to not persue him she of COURSE didn't listen. she never listens to anyone, including the LAW. i hope she rots

You have to get your act together. I can't say that I told you so. If you really love your kids well then prove it. Go to AA meatings, have random drug testing, and do everything you have to do. If you don't then it shows the world that you don't really LOVE your kids.

27. Of course Federline's BETTER than Spears. All the "Spears' Cheers" squad can really find to accuse him of is being a "golddigger". Whether he is or not is still to be proven. unlike Spears where it's a moot point. And, IF Federline is a golddigger, it just means he's learned from the decades of women before him. Who cares?
