Celebrity Justice
Paris Does Not Lack Appeal

Paris Hilton's lawyer has made it official -- Paris has filed a notice with the court, vowing to appeal her 45-day jail sentence.

The notice is a formality that lawyers are required to file before lodging the appeal. It does not give the grounds for the appeal, but Hilton's lawyers must essentially prove that the trial judge abused his discretion by imposing the sentence.

76. What a loser. She didn't know she could drive on a suspended license. What a crock!!! GO DO YOUR 45 DAYS. She wasn't whining when her drunk ass was driving, now was she?

77. Cindy- I am from Cali and not GA, and i believe that she should have been taken in to custody right then and there. We as citizens of say regular life- would not have been granted anything special if we were to turn ourselves in at a later date. Paris Hilton misses the point on what is what is right and wrong. She broke her rules of probations. She should pay for it.

78. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time! I believe that she has been given her fair share of chances with her driving episodes, time she take responsibility for breaking the law. Surely she would know the terms of driving on a suspended license and if not, why not? Our driver's licenses are our own responsibility, not for anyone else to "manage". Perhaps she needs to re-read the driver's handbook while in jail, take a few quizzes on its content, sign another paper stating she understands the content (which I thought that is what is meant when you sign your driver's license???). I surely wish that her parents would have a few words with her. Even as adult children, we, as parents, do have an impact on our childrens' lives. It appears that they aren't really proactive nor do they really care what she does. It isn't that LAPD owes her any kind of special treatment, it is SHE that owes the community an apology for her wreckless behavior.

79. I think most of Paris's issue stem from the fact that her parents were negligent in having her deformed feet fixed as a child. Suck it up, Paris and pack your overnight bag !!!!

80. THE BITCH SHOULD PAY FOR HER ACTIONS. THE CONSEQUENCES OF HER DRIVING DRUNK AND GETTING BUSTED 3X ARE WELL DESERVED. HER PARENTS SHOULD BE THANKFUL THAT AT LEAST THE JUDGE IS DOING THEIR PARENTING FOR THEM. SHE IS A RICH BITCH WITH NO SENSE OF REALITY. THE WORLD DOES NOT REVOLVE AROUND YOU FUG MUG!!!!(SERIOUSLY, THIS BITCH IS SO UGLY INSIDE AND OUT).
I FRIEND OF MINE WAS TAKEN TO JAIL RIGHT THEN AND THERE WHEN HE WAS FOUND DRIVING WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE...
NO MERCY FOR THIS BITCH.

AND TO ALL OF YOU STUPID PARIS LOVERS:
GET A LIFE. HOW WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF SHE HURT SOMEONE YOU LOVE WHILE DRIVING UNDER THE INFLLUENCE?????? DRINKING AND DRIVING IS THE DUMBEST THING YOU COULD EVER DO.

81. To: Nice Appellate Judges (whom, by the way, we just think are great)

Please excuse Paris from going to prison. She will be a good girl, and can't you see? She's a perfectly behaved little princess. Don't listen to what those naughty police and judge said. Blame her mean, unfair publicist for not letting her know her license was suspended. He is a real doodoo head. Besides, getting up early in the morning in prison isn't something Paris can do. She cannot think or function till at least 3pm, when her hangover wears off. But, she is a good driver and will be a goooood girl.

Signed,
Paris' Attorney

She's heading to the 'big house'. I'm not in CA. What grouds does she had to appeal this. She was speeding, driving without her lights on & violated her probation!

83. I blame Paris' mother for the mess of a daughter she has. Awfully nervy for the old wannabe actress who is living through her daughter to disrespect the court the way she did when Paris was sentenced. She should be raising responsible children instead of hawking crap on home shopping channels. MAKE them all go away.

84. Paris DEFINITEY got what she deserved. Her mother is the one who is disgusting for allowing Paris to get away with everything and anything for years. 3 cheers for the judge who wouldn't budge. I hope the appeal falls flat and she HAS to serve her 45 days. I just think these celebrities who think they above the law have no brains whatsoever.

85. The interest in Paris actually lies in the balance between her good and mischevious sides. Whether this courtroom fiasco was an intended "dog and pony" show, or not, Martha Stewart she is not. Having seen the waif of a girl a number of times at various functions, "notorious" doesn't suit her, especially if it's an image she has to wear full-time.

She should take a lesson from Angelina Jolie. Even "saving the world" isn't going to save her years from bad karma noteriety. Unfortunately, the American public isn't apt to forgive female celebrities as easily as their male counterparts.

In anycase, I hope they allow her some good reading material in the hole. She should also really consider just actually doing the time, as the American public will hate her even worse if she skips out. I suggest that she brings a stack of emotional self-help books. Obviously, the offspring of a workaholic and a trophy wife can not possibly produce the most well-adjusted children.

86. Think about it, 26 is just 4 yrs shy of 30. Pathetic that an almost 30 yr old woman acts like a 15 yr old

When is she going to grow up and take responsibilities for her action. Her mom needs to keep her mouth shut!

87. She has absolutely NO CHANCE of winning this on an appeal.

88. would momma think is was a waste of tax payers money if to say a drunk hit on of her girls, no she would fight heaven and earth to see that person got jail time. So why is she being such a b**ch to the system for doing their job. Sorry we all don't have the same feelings as the Hiltons on the way the law in preceived.

Find something worthy to report, find someone who has done something worthy of reporting, I find all of hollywood pure trash;;;Even birkhead is being to look like the rest of the losers, the only important one is Dannielynn....I hope LB is not a queer, if so I will start an all out campaign to back up vergie for custody....I like him but he is begining to look like he is in love with himself....

90. Keep digging the hole Miss P, you might win the battle, but you're losing the war.

If this family continues to ignore responsibility, then the Hotel chain in thier name, HITON HOTELS, should be targeted for boycott by MADD.

You want to put an end to this bimbo? Hurt their dividend base - then I'll guarantee you she'll be as old news as her muse, Zsa Zsa Gabor.
