Wesley Snipes Arrested

Wesley Snipes: Click to watchTMZ has learned Wesley Snipes has been arrested and taken into custody by federal authorities.

The actor was arrested Friday morning after arriving at Orlando International Airport. Snipes said he was a scapegoat and unfairly targeted by prosecutors in connection with a federal tax fraud investigation.

Snipes had been shooting a movie in Namibia.

The "White Men Can't Jump" star is accused of failing to pay nearly $12 million in taxes. Officials allege that Snipes fraudulently claimed refunds in 1996 and 1997, and then failed to file returns between 1999 and 2006.

46. Poor Brandon hasn't read about Karma.
That's where what you put out into the universe comes back to you.
You hex yourself.
Or you need to get a career where you actually have some real power,
rather than trying to verbally terrorize people, thinking you have the actual ability to project cancer through a hex over the internet . Sicko.

47. Wesley haven't you read about Willie Nelson or talked to him ? LOL
I know he was on TV, radio and everyone knew he couldn't get away with it either. Come on you can afford to hire someone to do this every year.

48. This is silly..... I --- like the one commentor mentioned ----feel so much safer. This article is suspicious. Why do people believe everything written in an article without any real facts. It's like he is guilty because he was arrested. Further, Why do these news stories always come out this time of year? Oh yeah tax season is coming around. I think newspaper get paid to publish this kind of crap. let's show the public what horrible things will happen if you do this.

52. My Question is..after all this time..why do we still have to pay personall taxes..i'd rather pay a flat tax of xx% and be done with it..But I am woundering why someone so famous would be in trouble?..sounds tainted to me

53. He's one of my favorite actors but come on.....not paying taxes in 7 year? If I did that I would be in prison. Just because he's a famous actor doen't give him extra rights or priviledges.

54. Mr. Snipes is innocent until proven guilty - period. He has yet to prove that he willingly withheld taxes. Often times we forget, evidence is only what the man holds. We don't know both side of the story; heck, we don't even know one side of the story. We only know what was openly published and that's with the subjectivity of the author and editor. If indeed Mr. Snipes has withheld - he is no different from you or I, and will be held accountable for his actions or his ignorance (if his accountant didn't do things right.) If he has not - same thing. We are all accountable for our actions. And to all those who posted in the negative - make sure you are not throwing the first stone! (for those who don't understand - make sure you yourself are not guilty!!)

55. It's funny how there is no mention of the rest of the story. I mean I could care less about Snipes but, at least give the readers of this blog the whole story. Wait... It doesn't matter anyway...

56. Well I would sure love to see some kind of Tax Simplification Overhaul , seems that Wesley may have taken that idea and modified it so the system could pay HIM instead of vice versa . It's sad that this intelligent and gifted actor may have taken very bad advice . I hope the guy simply gets off with a fine if found guilty , with penalties and interest that would be a huge bite out of his net worth , but alas , the Feds will make an example out of him now , and ruin him completely so that the rest of us are too frightened to even take allowable deductions because we fear we may be hauled in to account for every penny . Very sad . So sad that I hope the best for this guy whether he deserves my pity or not .
